This was very upsetting to learn of this today. David Bowie, who not only is an iconic singer and actor but also an outspoken idol for many LGBTQ individuals, passed away last night at the age of 69. What I didn't know was that he has been battling cancer for the past 18 months. That didn't stop him from what he loved. Bowie released a brand new album last Tuesday.

I thought David Bowie was such a cool, amazing guy. I loved his music and all the movies he was in. From his songs "Fame," "Let's Dance" and even the less remembered "I'm Afraid of Americans" when he got into industrial rock. I thought his music was timeless. I will also remember him as the man who played the Goblin King, Jareth, in Labyrinth or Nicola Tesla in The Prestige.

I know he will never be forgotten. I am going to be playing David Bowie all day. I will miss him dearly I will leave you with one of my favorite songs of all time.
