David and Victoria Beckham Name Their Daughter Harper Seven
After naming their first three children Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, it seemed a safe bet that soccer star David Beckham and his fashionista wife, Victoria, wouldn’t name their newborn daughter anything staid or conventional.
They didn’t disappoint.
“I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham,” David wrote on Facebook. “She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7:55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx.”
The origins of Harper are unclear, but Seven is a reference to her dad’s old soccer jersey number when he played for Manchester United and England.
It may seem odd, but at least they didn’t let their three sons have a hand in the naming. Before Harper’s birth, David said, “Romeo was like…What about Justine Bieber Beckham?”
