Now here’s a pairing we can totally get behind: Star Wars hero Daisy Ridley and Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman. This news would only be better if they were making an Edge of Tomorrow sequel instead of a post-apocalyptic YA thriller, but sci-fi is still sci-fi, and more Daisy Ridley cannot possibly be a bad thing.

THR reports that Ridley has signed on to star in Chaos Walking, the upcoming thriller based on Patrick Ness’ best-selling YA novel trilogy about a future world in which people have been infected with Noise, a germ that allows everyone to hear the thoughts of all living things. Liman will direct from a screenplay by Money Monster scribe Jamie Linden, who worked from an original draft by Charlie Kaufman — yes, as in that Charlie Kaufman, the genius behind Anomalisa, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Adaptation.

Ridley recently wrapped filming on Star Wars: Episode VIII, which hits theaters next December. She’s also set to star in the J.J. Abrams-produced sci-fi drama Kolma, and in Ophelia, a reimagining of Hamlet co-starring Naomi Watts. Liman’s next film is the Tom Cruise thriller Mena, which arrives in 2017. The director is also still attached to helm Channing Tatum’s Gambit movie, which will reportedly begin production early next year.
