Chris O’Dowd of ‘Girls’ Is Like a Teddy Bear We Want to Squeeze – The Daily Swoon
We close out our lead-up to the season two premiere of ‘Girls‘ this coming Sunday with a look at one last cutiepie from the show — Chris O’Dowd.
Oh man, don’t you guys just love a dude with an accent? How about guys who look like lovable little teddy bears and make you want to hug them and cuddle them and cry into their soft fur … erm, sorry, went too far on that one.
Meet Chris O’Dowd, an Irish actor whom you might recognize from ‘Bridesmaids’ or, if you’re some kind of pop culture hipster, you’re probably like, “I know that dude from BBC’s ‘The IT Crowd, derp.” Good for you. He also had roles in films last year like ‘This is 40,’ ‘Friends with Kids’ and ’3…2…1 Frankie Go Boom.’ (That last one’s available to rent OnDemand right now, FYI.)
We were introduced to O’Dowd’s character Thomas John on the first season of ‘Girls’ when he attempted — and failed — to have a threesome with Jessa and Marnie, only to wind up (SPOILER ALERT, obviously) marrying Jessa in a surprise wedding. And while Thomas John is most definitely back for season two, I won’t spoil things any further.
