Who better to get a personal recommendation from than Captain America himself?

As previously reported, Oscar-winning Room actress Brie Larson is likely in talks to take the role of Captain Marvel, Disney-Marvel's planned superhero film based on the comic series of the same name. The potential casting news seems to have pleased many of her fans, as well as readers of the comics, but one famous fan in particular has given Larson a particularly super seal of approval: Chris Evans.

The actor who portrays Captain American in both Marvel's Captain America and Avengers films was in Philadelphia on Saturday (June 4) for a Wizard World panel with his Captain America: Civil War co-stars, Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier). There, Evans was asked about his thoughts on Larson possibly nabbing the role of the famed female superhero, and that's when the fanboy gushing began.

"I just heard about that. I really hope that happens," he said. "I love Brie Larson!"

And the praise wasn't blind: The two actors previously starred in a film together, 2010's action-comedy Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, also based on a comic book series.

"We did a movie together back in '09," Evans continued. "We did Scott Pilgrim... I cannot say enough about Brie Larson. I think she is phenomenal, and I really hope that [casting] happens."

We do, too.
