If it’s that last one, you and the master songsmith think alike, because Carnage is the one Marvel character Miranda apparently would love to play.

There Can Be Only One ‘John Wick’ Director For the ‘Highlander’ Reboot

John Wick directing duo Chad Stahelski and David Leitch are gradually taking over Hollywood’s action films, becoming two of the most wanted names in the industry. When Tim Miller vacated the director’s chair on Deadpool 2, there was only one correct solution: Hire one of the John Wick guys. Leitch landed that gig, which leaves Stahelski free to take on another potential blockbuster — the long-long-long-developing Highlander reboot.

New Netflix Instant Releases: December 2016

As a special gift to you this holiday season, Netflix is bringing Captain America: Civil War to Instant (on Christmas, no less), allowing you to stream and repeat to your heart’s desire. That’s not all, of course, as the streaming service is adding several new and classic titles in December, including Netflix Originals like Fuller House Season 2, the first season of the Guillermo del Toro-produced animated series Trollhunters, and the young Barack Obama-goes-to-college movie Barry (the trailer for that one just dropped this morning).

Warner Bros. Picks a Director for Its ‘Mortal Kombat’ Reboot

Odds are good that a few of you read this headline and thought, “Wait, there’s a Mortal Kombat reboot in production?” It’s true! Despite mixed success as a feature film and a web-series, Warner Bros. has decided to once again chase that sweet video game industry money with a big screen remake of the popular video game franchise. James Wan  —  who joined the project all the way back in 2015 as the executive producer  —  recently described the film as the fantasy version of Enter the Dragon, expressing a great deal of enthusiasm for the universe that he and the Mortal Kombat screenwriters had created.

‘John Wick’ Director David Leitch Officially Gon’ Give It to You in ‘Deadpool 2’

A few weeks ago, Deadpool director Tim Miller shocked the world  —  or a nerdier and more profane subsection of the world, anyways — by walking away from Deadpool 2. As reporters scrambled to make sense of why Miller would leave one of the breakout franchises of 2016, reports emerged that Miller and star Ryan Reynolds had very conflicting ideas for the upcoming sequel and that 20th Century Fox had thrown their support behind Reynolds’ vision for the franchise. Deadpool 2 was officially in the hands of Ryan Reynolds now, but the film still needed a director, and the hunt was on.

Emilia Clarke Traveling to a Galaxy Far, Far Away for the Han Solo Movie

Emilia Clarke, whom most of us know as Khaleesi, has been dipping a toe into film lately, probably preparing for Game of Thrones’ eventual end. She had a starring role as Sarah Connor in Terminator: Genisys over the summer, which wasn’t… super, but it looks like she’s digging the franchise thing. Tonight, the official Star Wars Twitter account announced that she’s heading to a galaxy a fur piece from our own to meet up with Han Solo and his furry Wookiee buddy.

Rumor: Green Lantern Corps Member Will Appear in ‘Justice League’

In brightest day, in blackest night, no movie rumor shall escape our sight. Today, it’s now rumored that the Green Lantern Corps will appear in the movie, but it might not be our familiar human member of the force.

Sacha Baron Cohen to Further Test Limits of Bad Taste with ‘Klown’ Remake

Whether he’s handing a plastic bag full of feces to a dinner party host, trying to coax Ron Paul into a hotel-room gay sex scandal, or getting face-raped by the massive phallus of an elephant while hiding inside the cavernous vagina of a second elephant, Sacha Baron Cohen’s a born button-pusher. His unending search for shock value has now led him to Denmark, the home nation of the excruciating comedy of discomfort Klown. A new item from Deadline notes that the prank-happy provocateur will bring his talents for awkwardness to a remake of the taboo-busting Danish cringe-fest, and more specifically, that foreign distribution rights have been snapped up by Annapurna International.
