Earlier in June there had been multiple reported vehicle break ins and Bozeman Police believe they may all be related to the same criminal. The evening of June 7th, 2012, a vehicle’s windows were broken out, and a purse was stolen. The owner’s credit cards were used shortly afterwards.

On June 8th, 2012, a similar incident occurred where a vehicle’s window was broken out and a purse stolen. Video was obtained from both locations, and it appears that the same male was responsible for both thefts. Police are attempting to identify the male pictured below.

Both of these occurred in business parking lots where valuables were kept in plain view. A total of thirteen vehicles have had items taken from them since June 1st.

We want to remind citizens to always lock their vehicles and not keep purses, wallets or other valuables in the vehicle.
