Heavy snow started to fall in town this morning with the Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 5pm today. Up to 3 inches should fall in Bozeman with up to 6 inches above 6,000 feet.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow remains in
effect until 5 PM MST this afternoon for all elevations of
southwest Montana. This advisory now includes the Bozeman... Ennis
and Dillon areas.

Timing and main impact: light snow will move southward through
southwest Montana today. Expect temperatures to fall from the
40s into the 20s with rain quickly changing to snow. Roadways
will gradually freeze over this afternoon as the colder air
continues to move southward into the region.

Snow accumulations: storm total snowfall of 1 to 3 inches is
expected at lower elevations and 3 to 6 inches in the
mountains.

Impacts: areas of blowing and falling snow will reduce
visibility to less than a mile at times. Roadways will become
snow covered and slippery.
