So Black Friday is upon us(or Thursday.....whatever) and we have to decide whether to go venture out to our favorite malls or big stores and try to fight the crowds to get great deals or stay home and stay in bed.

Personally, I have experienced going to malls/big stores on Black Friday and my first time I was choked out by an old lady because she thought I cut her in line when the doors opened.  Not the prettiest picture.  This kinda left a sour taste in my mouth about it just so families can get the best deals or get themselves a gift.  It seems big stores or companies are doing these sales earlier and earlier with opening on Thursday and even doing the same thing on their websites.

Here is my opinion, I get it.  I totally understand why people do it but I seriously question if it's all worth the fuss.  There has been huge controversy revolving around this day for the past five years due to fights, muggings, and unfortunate deaths.  I just hope everyone stays safe out there and if you are going shopping then go with a group to protect each other.

If you are looking for an alternative then I might suggest trying to go to the websites or even try Small Business Saturday in Downtown Bozeman.  Not only does it help the local economy but it's great way to show pride in your community.
