Best Places to Meet Singles in Bozeman – Top Seven
So you want to try your luck with the ladies, guys? Or you want to mingle with the boys, girls? To start off right be sure you pick the right place, because we all know it’s about being in the right place at the right time. Right?
Downtown is littered with singles trying to do the same thing as you, find someone hotter and more interesting than themselves. I may sound a bit jaded but for the most part I believe it’s the truth. In leau of Downtown being pretty cliche and limited to 21 and up, I will move on to what I hope will be much more prosperous and thoughtful locations to meet singles.
It may not be ski season right now but it’s worth a mention. I’ve heard from countless friends of mine about getting hit on and approached by guys on the mountain. It must be something to do with being arbitrarily stuck next to a stranger for an 8 minute chair-lift ride that just brings out the romance. One of my friends was actually given a phone number while sitting next to a stranger. It was pre-written and everything!
But seriously, besides those guys that are taking a swing at everyone they sit next to, the ski lodge is a great place to meet fun, interesting, and like minded people. The lodge gets pretty crowded at lunch time and is the perfect time to ask to share a table with a skier or boarder that has caught your eye. This works best if you are with a group of friends and he/she is with a group of friends as well. You don’t want to look too desperate. I’ve met several people this way and the conversations are always good, it’s something about being away from the normal life and being on a mountain that allows complete strangers to chat about themselves. Also this gives you the perfect opportunity to show off your new apres ski attire that is normally hidden under your jacket and goggles.
This is going all the way back to the basics of human beings. How can he or she not fall instantly in love with you after witnessing you hit a homerun, slamdunk a basketball, or dive for a frisbee? Don’t be afraid if you aren’t an athletic standout, he/she could find your casualness and desire to have fun more appealing than the uber-jock bossing the team around aiming for that win. And while you’re on the sidelines or bench, it’s the perfect opportunity to strike up fun conversations. And because the sports are going on, there are no awkward silences, just moments of silence in admiration for the game. Get out there slugger, and remember you can’t hit that homerun unless you swing.
It may be expensive but even if you don’t get a bachelor’s degree out of it, you will probably meet a few eligible bachelors and bachlorettes.
If you’re out of college it doesn’t mean you are barred from campus. Catch lunch at Avogadros with a friend maybe you’ll meet someone in the sub that you had a class with back in the day. There are art gallery openings all the time at the Helen E. Copeland Gallery with free food and wine. (Yes, free!) And you can get a gym membership as well, never know who might need a spotter. Only joking 😛
This goes along with college because you probably won’t be invited to a house party unless it’s one of your college classmates. When invited, show up late, but not too late, don’t stick to only your group of friends, and remember to just have fun. The most attractive person at any party is the person having the best time, it will drive him/her to want to meet you and join in the fun.
You could also throw your own party. Many occasions deem necessary for a party such as Cinco De Mayo, a sporting event, a birthday or even the finale of American Idol. Just remember to make enough Hors d’œuvres for all your guests.
This too may seem a bit cliche but weddings in Montana are pretty much amazing especially around Bozeman. Get your hair done, dress up, and have fun! Don’t be that desperate girl or guy expecting to land a number or a dance. If you’re what they want, they will notice.
You may think I’m talking about the girl or guy washing clothes next to you, but don’t limit your selection to only them. Laundry is a weekly activity (maybe monthly for some of you) and that means you see that cute laundry attendant on a regular basis. Test the water with him/her by chatting about your favorite TV show or movie. Laundry may become your favorite activity, and I’m not referring to the show Friends’ euphemism of laundry. Also, by no means ask him/her the best way to get out a stain, unless of course it’s involves spilling ketchup on your pants while driving your Audi. But in that case, you probably won’t be doing laundry at the laundry mat. Who knows, while at the mat you might even meet Chadwick!
