Bear Frequenting Area of Peets Hill, Lindley Park

A social media post by the Gallatin Valley Land Trust shows a bear strolling down a trail near downtown Bozeman.

Apparently this bear has been spotted a couple of times in the Peets Hill/Lindley Park area.

While bears are obviously common around the greater Gallatin Valley area, this is a warning to be aware if you are out and about this week near Peets Hill or Lindley Park.

Wildlife officials recently euthanized a black bear that had been involved in multiple conflicts with people and livestock near Story Hills.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports that five bears have been captured in Gallatin County in 2019.
