Terence Stamp Bashes ‘Star Wars’ Director George Lucas, Calls Films Boring
Even during the best of times, George Lucas has never been known as an "actor's director." Watch some behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the original 'Star Wars' trilogy and you'll see the actors straining for a reaction or direction from the man. Spielberg he is not.
If you want verbal proof of Lucas' indifference (for lack of a better word) to the acting craft, 'Star Wars: Episode One - The Phantom Menace' star Terence Stamp ("Chancellor Valorum") is here to lay it out for you in no uncertain terms. George Lucas is boring.

Teens, Vampires and Zombies Team Up in ‘The Kitchen Sink’
Teenagers, vampires and zombies battling aliens? Yes, 'The Kitchen Sink' is very aptly-titled indeed. The comedy-horror project, based on a Black List script, is moving ahead at Sony, where it will be shepherded by 'Amazing Spider-Man' producer Matt Tolmach.
A cast of young up and comers is being assembled for this oddity; jump after the break to learn who is involved!

‘Maniac’ First Six Minutes: See the World Through Elijah Wood’s Eyes
While 'Maniac' doesn't mark the first time Elijah Wood has played a psychopath (remember his creepy turn in 'Sin City'?), it's certainly showing us a side of Frodo Baggins we've never seen before. Not that you'll actually see much of him in it. The film, a remake of a nasty 80s cult classic, takes place from the Wood character's point of view, so we'll only get to actually view his face in reflections.
If you want a peek inside the mind of this remake, the first six minutes of 'Maniac' have been released online and can be watched after the break!

‘Star Wars Episode 7′ – Did J.J. Abrams Turn Down the Directing Job?
The question of who will direct the next 'Star Wars' still lingers quite maddeningly; while we would ideally be compiling a shortlist of contenders, we mostly collate who has expressed disinterest or denied involvement. One of those names is J.J. Abrams, who weeks ago stated in no uncertain terms that he didn't want the massive undertaking.
But did you know that he was evidently offered the job? A few choice quotes from the 'Star Trek' director indicates that he could have been the captain of two different space sagas. Jump after the break to learn more.

‘Star Wars: Episode 7′ — Just How Involved Will George Lucas Be in the New Trilogy?
While we wait patiently (ever so patiently...) for a director to finally be named to helm 'Star Wars: Episode 7', we must look elsewhere to feed our 'Star Wars' hunger.
George Lucas will certainly do nicely! Ever since the news broke that the man would be on board in an advisory role during the development of 'Episode 7' (and beyond), most of us have been wondering just how connected he will be. To hear Lucas tell it, he's just sort of going to be hanging around, waiting for people to ask him something.

‘Riddick’ Receives its MPAA Rating; And the Verdict Is?
The latest 'Riddick' adventure starring Vin Diesel is in the can and awaiting distribution. We're still unsure of when it will come out (Universal will release it sometime in 2013), but what we do know is what it will be rated. Did it go the PG-13 route of 'The Chronicles of Riddick', or did it stick to its guns and rock a hard-R (like its granddaddy, 'Pitch Black')? Find out after the break!

‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2′ Will Have a Post-Credits Scene and Alternate Ending
Every movie wants to get in on the post-credits bandwagon, the most recent one being 'The Avengers'' sneak peek at Thanos, but apparently 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' is trying to join in. Certainly a surprising film to feature a stinger, most would probably agree, but it's been such a fan-driven series that it has to be considered something of a parting gift to the folks who made it so huge.
