At the Worldwide Developers Conference today, Apple announced its new streaming music service to battle Spotify, Pandora and Tidal. This is interesting because they will also have a 24-hour radio streaming service much like Pandora and that sounds a lot like Spotify. But here is the kicker, during the conference Drake came out and told everyone watching and listening why this will be the better platform.

Drake explained that with Apple Music there is an app called Connect, which is a social network for artists to connect with listeners about upcoming songs/albums or content from that specific artist. This sounds great, but the problem is that they are getting into the streaming game a little late. Pandora and Spotify have a significant hold on the market right now and it will be interesting to see if Apple can put a dent in either of these companies. The Connect app is a great idea but that all depends on how many artists actually go that route. Because Connect sounds like a little like Myspace Music. I am just saying.
