Adam Levine Responds to FOX Anchor’s Backlash

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine got into a Twitter tiff with Fox News last month when he called the channel “evil” and asked it to refrain from playing his music. Now the singer is expounding on his position and the backlash from the station’s anchors.
Originally, Levine tweeted: “Dear Fox News, don’t play our music on your evil f—ing channel ever again. Thank you.” Fox News anchor Andy Levy responded, “Dear Adam Levine, don’t make crappy f—ing music again. Thank you.”
Other hosts on the network responded similarly, but the ‘Voice‘ coach is standing his ground. In an interview with iHeartRadio, Levine reiterates his sentiments. “Fox News knows it’s evil,” he says. “I don’t think it’s a very big secret. They should just embrace it, Dr. Evil-style.”
He continues, “And yes, I don’t want them to play our music on their channel, but they can do whatever they want. It’s a free country — I know they love that idea, that it’s a free country.”
The singer-songwriter also makes mention of the fact that Fox News’ anchors made a “strange comment” about how the frontman was going bald and often wears a hat to conceal it. “Not. True,” he says in a sing-song fashion. “Here’s my hair, here’s my no-hat.” As if you needed another reason to love Adam Levine.
